The dog that was killed by the pit bulls.

A man, who was going to pray at a Masjid early Monday morning, was mauled by two raging pit bulls.

The dogs had moments earlier had just killed a dog.

Badly injured is 62-year old Mubarak Ally. He was also bitten to his head and back. The incident occurred around 6 AM while the man was going to the Masjid on Sandy Babb Street, Kitty. 

The man was rescued by neighbours when they heard him screaming. He was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where up to late in the afternoon he was undergoing emergency treatment.

The dogs owner, Alex Prashad, has been arrested and he is being held at the Kitty Police Station.
