crimesceneA security guard of East Bank Demerara was early Wednesday morning beaten to death while on duty, the police say.

A release from the Guyana Police Force identified the man as Notoam Ifee Holodar, 54, of Cinema Street, Diamond, EBD.

“Enquiries have so far revealed that Notoam Ifee Holodar was one of two security guards who were on duty at a construction site, when it is reported that they were attacked and beaten by four men,” the release stated.

The incident occurred around 1.30 AM at New Hope, EBD.

The two men were taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where Holodar was pronounced dead on arrival while the other security guard was treated and sent away.

I hope the police pursue this crime with all their investigative skills. The crime is easy to solve. Don't let the other security guard out of your sight.

The government is just wasting money on stupid things that are not important at the moment. and putting the rest in their pocket. What they need is a and just come online to see if u on thennext 2 hours a have some fineries to do before maurice gets home very good crime lab and train ppl to work in it. and most of these unsolved crime can be solved and bring these ppl to justice.

One has to note that there is a difference between a security guard and a watch man.In all instances a security guard would have been equip with a gun and some form of mobile communication.while a watch man is equip with his eyes and left to the mercies of perpetrators like in this case.It is a sad situation.I hope the police solve this one,as it adds to their long list of unsolved crimes in Guyana. My deepest condolences to the family.
