A policeman is among three people killed in a vehicular accident on the Friendship, East Bank Demerara Public Road. Details are still sketchy. Demerara Waves Online News (www.demwaves.com) was told by police sources that the names of the dead are Tameka Brummel, Jason Brummel and Police Sergeant Thomas. Thomas is a mechanic at the Guyana Police Force headquarters and up to the time of his death supervised the fuel pump at Eve Leary Headquarters. Tameka Brummel worked as a security guard at the Cheddi Jagan Dental Centre. They were travelling in Thomas' car heading to Georgetown when the accident occurred early Thursday morning. The car toppled into a nearby canal and had to be taken out by a truck. |

Let's hope they were adhering to proper road laws and not be part of the road fatality statistic of those who perished due to improper use of the roadways.
My sympathies to the families.
