The “Government remains committed to dialogue but, cannot and will not accommodate the willful rejection of the rule of law,” the Office of the President said in a statement. They should have met again at 3 PM Friday but, according to Region 10 Chairman, Sharma Solomon, the government point-person called saying that the talks would be held at a future date and time to be determined. Presidential Advisor on Governance, Gail Teixeira, however, noted that up to Friday the Region 10 delegation had not presented any Economic Proposals. “The Region 10 delegation as of today, have not presented any proposals and therefore were delaying any discussion on what they said was the 3rd issue that had to be resolved. Each time they have said they are not ready,” she said on the state-owned National Communications Network (NCN). The opposition wants government to do more to help stimulate business activity and create jobs for Lindeners. The two sides have held almost 20 days of talks during the 23 days of protest that have seen key roads and bridges being blocked and cutting off critical fuel, food and other supplies to Regions 7,8 and 9. Security forces, however, reported they were Friday making progress in taking control and holding those thoroughfares in Mackenzie. President Donald Ramotar’s office again appealed to protestors to “become part of and support the move to have the blockade in Government blamed two privately-owned Online media entities – Benschop Radio and the independent Demerara Waves- for fomenting the upsurge on August 9. “Later that night, Demerara Waves falsely informed Lindeners that the soldiers had seized control of the bridges, cleared the roads in Government buildings housing the offices of the Guyana Revenue Authority, Expressing “utter dismay” at the events of August 10 in The Office of the President noted that government was not unmindful of the complicated situation on the ground where representatives of the Opposition political parties and the negotiators themselves were sending mixed signals to the community. “The fact that a TOR was signed testified to the compromises of the Government in this matter,” Ramotar’s office added. Government accused the Opposition and Region 10 delegation of giving lip-service to the need for a peaceful solution while using the blockage of the road corridor that “they exploited to the disadvantage of all.” “Claiming to be peaceful, their very acts were destroying the livelihood of many and were occurring in total disrespect of the law,” Office of the President added. Predictably, the protesters were riled up, mobilised immediately and began a period of uncontrolled mob rule. Fortunately lives were not lost but the destruction of property and livelihoods was significant. The President’s Office warned the Region 10 and Opposition negotiators and their mentors about “their questionable control of the situation in |

They don't give a damn about Linden. He in Berbiece which is more important because his votes are coming from there.
Yes the indian race is more important than the Afro Guyanese race that's what the President og Guyana is pointing out to us.
This government is one sided and we can't have a one sided leader leading this country! The leader of this country need to have an interest in all the race not only indian. Is not only indian living in this country. Here isn't India!
According to a comment an indian person (rishi rhemraj) made he said Guyana is better off without black people inside. He don't know why the black people don't...
I wouldn't continue because I was really upset reading that comment.
I'll like to tell rishi rhemraj and all the racial indian people in Guyana including the ppp/c if yall have a problem with my fellow Afro Guyanese then go to India because there is where you belong. You Indians came to guyana and reach us here so if you hate us so bad go back to your country.
Its time we (Afro Guyanese) come together and put an end to this nonsense this government is treating us like door mats and so is the racial indians in this country the president is giving them the permission to insult the Afro guyanese and a stop must be put its long over due.
The ppp have no intention coming to a conclusion to assist the lindeners because the region have most of the APNU votes. All Guyanese seeing that who in see that just don't want to see it, and I'm sorry for them.
As far as I'm concern the opposition is now (meaning since the 3 protesters got shot) trying to help or get involve to assist the lindeners since we all know what the government is doing or trying to do is wrong and I think with the APNU and AFC help the lindeners are more strong. Even without them they can fight they battle and win. The Lindeners came together and plan to protest for five days intentionally but it was prolong since the first day protest didn't go well all because of we all know who.
So yes the lindeners and do it all by themselves without the help of the opposition so take note ppp/c

Step 2:The soldiers dropped their leaflets, launched their military operation as directed by the Government and it literally backfired.
Step 3: Blame somebody. Blame the media.
Step 4: Return to negotiations.
Dangerous Game being played by a dangerous Government.
The sugar workers did not need terms of reference.
The Amerindians did not need terms of feference
But the AFRO Guyanese need terms of reference...what a bunch of jokers.
Now those foot-dragers want to blame Demerara-Waves and Benschop Radio for their own incompitence. WHAT A DISGRACE.
MS -BJ stop writing lies , why dont you copy and paste my comments so the people can see what a liar you are
Im a supporter of People of Indian Origin and not ashamed of it
