While the situation gets out of control, peaceful protestors should also try to protect their homes and place of employment.
In the meantime, politicians should not try to score points, but agree to disagree, and start talking to each other for the benefit of the citizens - else everyone loses.

The trucks that are transporting necessary supplies to region 7, 8, 9, etc. should be escorted through with heavy security and a large road clearing team. If the stuff are put back, atleast the trucks would have passed though. When they are ready to come back, they should be met at a point by the same security and road clearing team.

Maybe those of us that are not from Linden should start protest now for 50 free kilowatt of electricity.. I think the citizens of linden need to pay their bills and better their selves. Poverty is a state of mind. Many honest people go out of jobs every single day, but that doesn't turn then into rioting looting arsonist! The thing is this, Burnham, because he was not accountable to anyone, brought us to poverty, he started the destruction of the Bauxite industry, squandered many retirees Canadian pension fund and left many old Bauxite workers in a state of penury.

Many ended up receiving 1500 Guyana dollars in pension per month, my dad included.

We must be fair in what we say here, poor leadership from 1966 to now has brought a sense of hopelessness to all Guyanese.
