Dead is 22-year old David John of Port Kaituma, North West District. The injured man, 32-year old Andre Wallace of Timehri Squatting Area, has been admitted to the Investigators said the incident occurred around 6:30 PM, Saturday. Guyana Police Force spokesman, Ivelaw Whittaker said John and Wallace were involved in an argument with a group of men over the alleged larceny of a quantity of raw gold. They were allegedly beaten by the men resulting in the death of John and injuries to Wallace. No one has been arrested.
