A release from the police on Monday stated that Seelochanie Budhoo of Hanam Street, Ruimzeight, WCD, was attacked and robbed by four men around 7 PM. One of the men was reportedly armed with a handgun. “Investigations revealed that Seelochanie Budhoo was held up by the men in her living room and ordered to lie on the floor. The men then tied her hands and dealt her several kicks about her body and took away $3.8 million (GC) that was in a bedroom and escaped,” the police said. Budhoo was admitted to the Balwant Singh Hospital for medical attention. |

There is still a mistrust that people have for banks or people have a mistrust of checks, The Banks in Guyana need to invest in Educational seminars for Individuals and Business people to educate them in the dangers of the cash system of doing business and in payrolling, until that is established bandits will always have a field day.
SILLY, THIS IS NO JOKING MATTER....AND I HOPE THAT ONE DAY YOU DON'T HAVE TO END UP IN THAT SAME HOSPITAL for them to save your life...NUFF SAID

Seriously, when would Guyanese stop having so much cash around. Their tax cheating days will catch up with them.
Your comment is arrogant and inappropriate. Perhaps this woman is a businesswoman and upon closure on Saturday or Sunday she could not do a deposit. Its hypothetical to say what you said. I hope she will be okay. Its becoming quite an addiction now; the younger generation is lazy and not interested in school or career so they rob the innocent. Feel free to comment whoever you may be but I've said my piece. The authorities need to step their game and get serious. Too many unsolved mysteries as I put it. And please take note its the Indians that are victims.
